Pedro Martinez's contract expires after the 2008 season, but Newsday is reporting that Pedro would like to spend his final year in the majors with the Mets to be in the first year of CitiField.

"I'll be part of the new stadium and a championship team," he said. "But at 39, I'll be hanging it up. I'm not going to play until I'm 40."

Pedro is now 35 years of age.
